Reviews sell books! Here’s an Opportunity

Good reviews do sell books; poor reviews don't. Never post less than a 4 or 5 star review—it kills the author's chances for sales. Just like the old saying, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Let's get our books reviewed!

I am looking for fresh new reviews on one of my books. Please be willing to post your 4 or 5 star review (only) on Amazon.com.
Keep Your Sanity, Understanding and Coping With Stress in a Changing World. 138 pages. Offered for review as a PDF file only.

It is estimated that as many as 80 percent of physician visits may be stress-related. Without knowing how to reduce stress, we leave ourselves susceptible to life-threatening illness, disease, and just plain unhappiness.

In this book you will discover:
• Why you are susceptible to stress.
• How to apply “quick fixes” and ultimately achieve long term relief.
• How to adjust your lifestyle to permanently take control and live a more stress-free life.

For your free review copy, please e-mail Carol Denbow at chipanugget@gmail.com.

The Amazon.com listing on this book can be found HERE.

Now it’s your turn. If you would like your book to be offered up for review, list your book title and contact information in the comment section. Please include whether you will mail a hard copy or PDF (e-book).

Is there a deadline? My next book isn't being released until July 2012. I don't even have a bookcover yet.

Reviewers can hurt their platform of objectivity by posting nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews. It looks false because nobody believes reviewers don't come across books that are average or below average.

Some of the best reviews I've read on Amazon were only 3 stars. Why, because I knew they were less likely to have been written by the author's friends. Also, they pointed out the problems with a book that the 4-5 star people never mentioned.

Funny thing is, sometimes those "problems" were only problems to the reviewer. If a reviewer, for example, marks down a book for being literary fiction, I'm more likely to buy it because I like literary fiction.

My two cents.

I had never thought of the less than 4-5 stars killing ab author's chance to sell, however, it does make sense. I thought the number of reviews counted more than the 4-5 stars though. Thanks for that information.

Like other authors, I ask for readers to post reviews, but requesting only 4 or 5 star reviews is simply unethical. If you read any of my books, please post an honest, authentic review so my work can fail or succeed on its own merits or lack thereof.

Thanks for all your comments! Just to clarify...I never stated to falsify your rating. I simply said that if you can't leave a good review, don't leave one at all.
I received a poor review (one star) on one of my Kindle books--the reason? I made an error uploading the book to Kindle and the fonts were drastically altered. It wasn't a bad book and the error was corrected, but not before the uploaded book received a less than desirable rating. It really hurt future sales. F.Y.I., Kindle does not remove the bad ones, even if they were a mistake!
